I am looking to create a preventative maintenance project for my company. One of the requests that was mentioned was the interactive map. A user should be able to drop a pin on the exact location (within the office) so that the technician knows where to go for the maintenance. Is this possible?

I testedGeoData for Jirafor this use case and it works really well. It supports geographic locations on Jira issues, GPS coordinates, addresses, and interactive maps.
Definitely worth checking out on the Atlassian Marketplace.

This is no available feature out of the box in regards to maps. You can have an address input field so the technician can copy and paste it into google maps.
You may want to explore add-ons in the market place that provide this functionality on top of JSM.
