Can I trigger an issue from another issue that was created in the same jira board?

Hi there,

I am creating a project management template and was wondering if an issue that was created by one department (let's assume procurement created an issue to lease hardware) can trigger a follow-on issue for another department (such as, an automatic follow-on issue for the Legal team to review the contract for the lease)?

Please let me know!

Hi @Victor van Overbeek

Well yes you can always create issues automatically in Jira using Automation. You can trigger these automation based on various events like workflow transition.

Take a look at this sample template rule.
