We are setting up a new instance of Jira but there are existing epics and tasks from an existing set up that I would like to not have to recreate from scratch.

Is there any way to clone tasks from one Jira instance to another (not projects between the same Jira account)?

I think I need to use the export / import function to accomplish this task. Will try it out on a few and see how it goes.

Hi @Natasha Felski

The Jira CSV export/import function can be quite limited. Our Deep Clone for Jira marketplace app can clone issues from one Jira instance to another instance with its Instance Clone feature.

Hi there,

I know this is an older thread, but I'm going to be doing this soon as well. Do both Jira instances need to have Deep Clone in order to perform this, or just the instance we are moving to or from?

Thanks!

Hi @Zachary McKinnon and welcome to the community!

To use Instance Clone, you need to install Deep Clone on both Jira instances and have configured the Instance Clone feature.
