Building form with a condition

How do I put fields between Section End and Section Start in Form? 

I want to pop out a form when one of selections in the field is selected. Say I have a field for Software, and if software A is selected among other choices, the form pops up. The form has extra info a user must enter when software A is selected.

Rovo (and other GenAI tools) says that I have to use Section and the extra info must be between Section Start and Section End. But I am not able to do this. Section End/Start stuck together and I haven't found a way to put any fields between - tried click between, on the blue lines, whenever I see finger mark while hovering. 

Any assistance is appreciated.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

When you add a section, Jira adds a mark to end the previous section and start a new section. Notice that end comes before start.

When you add a field it is added where you cursor is placed, which is right after the start of section 1 in my example.

That field is now part of section 1. because it appears after the start of section 1 and before an end marker for section 1.

@Trudy Claspill Thank you for your prompt response. I tried as you suggested, and it worked! So I learned that the advice from Rovo isn't correct.
