We recently migrated from a Jira Software project to Jira Service Management to ensure continuation of Atlassian Assist (formerly Halp). Previously the sync we had with Halp in Slack, allowed us to sync issues created by Halp to Jira and create a thread in the agent channel in Slack. Additionally, any tickets created in Jira through other means (e.g. API) also synced to the agent channel. Since migrating, only tickets created using Atlassian Assist sync to the agent channel. Is there a setting that needs to be configured to have bidirectional sync enabled?

Was able to resolve this by including "request type" in the API call when creating issues. If request type is not set and incorrectly configured, two-way sync will not work as expected.
