Best Discovery Tool for discovering Software and Assets

Hi

We are looking to implement a Discovery Tool in Jira that will discover Windows devices on the network and the Applications and Software installed. 

I have been looking at Asset Discovery, but it doesn't appear to be able to discover software usage on downloaded software, which I require, as this will help us report and reclaim underutilised licences. 

Can anyone advise on a tool that will discover our requirements?

I am not sure what sort of usage data you are looking for, but Asset discovery does definitely discovery any applications installed.

You can do either agentless or agent-based discovery. Based on your requirements, agentless seems doable since all are connected to the network and it covers windows devices. The data will be the same doesn't depend on the method selected.

There's other tools out there like Lansweeper and it has a data manager connector. I am not sponsored by them and will honestly tell you, it works great, but it is expensive, but worth the cost depends on the organization and is not as expensive as others on the marketplace.
