Backup manager and Jira Cloud

Dear all

Notwithstanding I'm a main amministrator I'am not able to perform backup . 

How I can check the global permission for me and everyone ?

Follow below steps to validate the access

• Log in to your Jira instance.
• Look for the gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner of the screen. If you can see options like "User management," "System," or "Global permissions," it usually means you have admin access.
  • For a concrete check:
  • Go to Jira settings by clicking the gear icon.
  • Select "System."
  • In the left side panel, under "Security," select "Global permissions."
• Check if your user is part of a group that has the "Administer Jira" global permission. Being in a group like "jira-administrators" typically grants full admin rights.
• If you are unsure which groups you belong to:
  • Navigate to User Management via the gear icon > User Management (if accessible) and search for your profile to view your group memberships.

Alternatively, ask a current Jira Administrator or Site Administrator to verify your permissions and group membership.

Go Settings -> System -> Import & export -> Backup Manager --> Create Backup for cloud.

Welcome to the community.

To make a backup of Jira you need to be a Jira administrator to create a backup.

Only organization admins are the ones who can perform this action. Someone from your company needs to add you as the organization administrator in order for it to work.
