Hi,

I am trying to add an Automation Rule block within a VSA flow.

I have created a rule triggered by Conversation Flow Step.

And yet, I can; t see any rule that I could use in the list when trying to add the Automation Rule block.

Any idea of what could be wrong ?

Thanks a lot

Hi Julien - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Can you share a screenshot of the rule that you have so far?

Hi @julien_sire

Welcome to the community.

A virtual Service Agent flow to use an automation, you would 1st need to have created an automation rule and in that automation rule the rule trigger should be "Conversation flow step"

Can you show your VSA flow, as the pictures you provided are from the automation rule.

Is the VSA setup in the same project as where the Issue needs to be created?

Hi, The automation rule is living in the same project as the VSA setup. However, the rule is about creating a ticket in another JSM project indeed.

- The VSA and automation rules live in "SECDESK" project

- The rule itself is about creating a ticket within a project called "TSD".

Is this not supported ?

Hi @julien_sire

This should be possible, but:

What is the scope of your rule?

To achieve this, the scope needs to be on multiple project, the project SECDESK and TSD

To set the scope to multiple projects, you need to be a Jira administrator and do this in the system setting "Global Automation"

Hi Marc, thanks a lot for your time !

I've tried that and made my rule a Global Rule, cross projects.2025-07-16 11_53_20-Window1.png

Unfortunately, the automation rule is still not proposed in the dropdown list :(
