Does Jira ITSM have a way to automate messages when a user submits a ticket in our portal ?
For example if a user submits a ticket for a laptop upgrade we would like to add a automated message that includes one of our wikis for them to read over first and we would like to have this for different requests as well
The default configuration has a notification sent when the request is created. You can find this in your Project Settings->Customer Notifications.
This doesn't differentiate by request type, though.
If you're looking to specialize by Request Type you could set up Automation that looks at the request type created, and based on that, customizes the message.
