Hello,
I am trying to better manage user accounts in Jira service management. Since we use Jira service management for our org we want everyone to have a jira customer account in service management by default. I see Jira has a google workspace integration which is our primary user platform. It looks like there is a sync option but it doesnt really say it creates an account for the google workspace user. Any ideas out there on how to automatically create a jira service management customer accoutn for every google workspace user?
Thanks in advance.
Hey @Keith Broome
My organisation use Google as the identity manager for our Jira instance.
The sync does exactly what you are thinking, when an account is created in Google, it will sync to Jira, here you can set policy for default access, groups, licensing etc.
Thanks
Aaron.
Thanks, So you can set it up to "sync" which creates a jira account for a specific license type? Do you need Guard to do this?

This guide would suggest so: https://support.atlassian.com/provisioning-users/docs/what-are-setup-options-for-provisioning-and-single-sign-on/
