Authenticate background apps to assets REST API

Is there a way to authenticate a background/headless application to the Jira Cloud Assets REST API at https://api.atlassian.com/ex/jira/\{cloudId}/jsm/assets/... when the app has no UI and no permanent callback URL? We can't use Forge apps.

Hi @Matteo Vecchiato ,

I have already implemented what was suggested in the article you shared with me.

However, I’m not fully convinced by the solution, so we are currently working with Forge to develop apps that are natively authenticated within the Atlassian platform.
