Attaching Emails to Jira Tickets via API

Hey,

I have a solution in place that is attaching emails to tickets by downloading the email and attaching the file however as you can see from below it is saving them in a unreadable format that has to be downloaded and opened in Outlook to view.

Is there a way to attach it so it looks like the below and is visible in Jira, I am trying to avid emailing it through as I don't want it adding a ton of attachments and adding a comment.

my name is Benjamin from yasoon. We are a 3rd party vendor on the Atlassian Marketplace developing app integrations from Microsoft 365 to Jira/Confluence.

Thanks Benjamin, I see your add on is in Outlook but we aren't really looking to add the email in from Outlook as the Jira Integration does this already. Mainly looking to do it from the API.

That depends on how you are downloading the file. It is possible to download the e-mail in PDF format?
