Hello,
in article Create an Assets object custom field | Assets | Atlassian Support there is a reference to the storage limit of an assets object custom field. Does the "20" refer to the number of selected objects in case of a multi-select field or can i populate the selection list only with 20 objects?
I was wondering if i can use that for a customer to select the application(s) he wants to select for installation/ licensing. If i cant have a selection list of more than 20 applications he can choose from, i need to find another way. If he can only choose 20 applications to license/install in one request, i am fine with that.
Thank you and best regards
This refers to the field can only show 20 selected objects.
The objects that are shown to be selected in the asset custom field form the asset schema can be over 20.
So from the options in the assets scheme, the field can only be populated with a max of 20 selections.
So in your case, yes you can set more than 20 options and the user can search or slect any of those to a max of 20.
