Asset fuzzy search

We are using asset to import from Entra and I have a custom field that is an asset object and you can search by phone number. Unfortunately we do not have a universal way all phone numbers are being held in Entra and therefore they are not universal in Asset. We have variations like 

2145551212 

+1 (214) 555-1212

214-555-1212 x1212

and anything you can fathom. 

We are trying to figure out how the Asset fuzzy search works. When searching asset we try 

*214555

$214555

*"214555

"*214555

Nothing is bringing up results. Thanks for any assistance.

HI @Mikel Whipple Have you tried filtering the object attribute with AQL operators LIKE (matches a value based on a subset of characters, case insensitive) or NOT LIKE (excludes values matching the subset pattern)?

In asset? Yeah the asset AQL query lets us use fuzzy search but not the asset field.
