Archiving an issues/ticket

Hey Guys,

We have a request to remove some issue type/request type since there are already some tickets created with these issue types we would like to archive these issue prior removing.

Is this possible to achive?

Hi @Aaron Micallef ,

Currently the ability to archive the issues/tickets is possible only in Jira Data Center and not possible to archive in the cloud version.

Archiving on issue level is not a function in Cloud.

Even it it would, archiving issues will not mean an issue type is not in use, as the archived issues would be.

If you want to remove issue types, the related issues should be moved to another issue type.
