Adding two columns into one attribute when importing csv file in Assets

Thomas Pedersen Ljungstrom October 9, 2025

Hi

In Assets, I have an Object type with an attribute where attribute type=Object, referring to another Object type. This attribute can contain multiple values (referring to multiple objects)

I want to do a CSV file import, where I add both Column1 and Column2 as different values in this attribute.

I've done imports before, where I add one column into an attribute. But haven't tried it with two columns into the same attribute. So how is that done?

In my attribute mapping, what should I put into the Reference mapping?

Hi @Thomas Pedersen Ljungstrom

This KB article should provide the correct pointers, https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/how-to-import-assets-object-types-with-attributes-referencing-existing-objects/

I think the multiple attributes should be in a single column, but no entirely sure.
