Adding Insights field to Team Managed project

Hey everyone we recently switched to Insights for our asset tracking with our ITSM project in Jira. We had tested in in a sandbox and everything worked as expected. A former employee created the sandbox and it as supposed to be the sane as our current service desk project. Turns out after we got everything into Insights in production that our sandbox was created as a Company Managed project, and our Production project is a Team Managed. Now I know Migration is an option however we have a bunch of scripts and automation that pull from our current Team Managed project, so while possible it is much more work then we had planned for.

Does anyone know if you can add custom fields for Insights into a Team Managed project? Or of any workarounds so we can link Assets to tickets?

It is not possible to add Insight fields to a team-managed project, and based on this request, JSDCLOUD-10235, Atlassian has made the decision to not consider adding it in the future.

A possible workaround would be to use automation and the REST API for Insight to copy data from it to a custom field in your team-managed project.
