I have tried to upload 5 type of files in JIRA, but only .txt was successfully added. all other files are showing unable to upload and failed. please see attached screenshot for detail
This is not system admin can configure. in here I have allowed everything, and it is not the size issue as I have only 1 line for each file.
Please advise where is the restriction. thanks.
Susan
@[deleted] Jira allows all common file types. What file types are you trying to upload? Are you in the customer portal or in agent view? Have you tried a different browser?

Hi Brant,
Thanks for looking into my case.
I have attached 4 type of files, word, excel. image and txt file. only .txt file attached successfully. all other ones were failed, unable to upload.
I am using edge browser which is bank standard browser.
It must not because of file size as I have only 1 or 2 words in each file.
Please advise if there is any restriction setting need to check to allow this.
Thanks,
Susan

All those file types will work just fine. Can you try clearing your browsers cache and trying again? Can you also try a different browser?

Hi Brant,
I cleared cache and still have the same issue.
I am not able to use any other browser as only edge configured with SSO.
it must be somewhere outside was blocking the other file type. because Confluence has the same issue. will that be firewall or something?
Thanks,
Susan

I would talk to your IT team. I wonder if it could be a browser extension, firewall, or other security your team has set up. It is most likely there to prevent those types of files from exiting your company.

We are the IT team in the bank. I will try to check with Firewall team and see if any restriction set there. thanks.
