Resolve JSM ITOps Incidents Faster with Rovo Dev CLI & Observability MCP integration

We’re excited to share that you can integrate Rovo Dev CLI with 3P observability MCPs making it easier than ever for teams to investigate alerts and perform automated root cause analysis (RCA) directly from their command line.

With this integration, you can seamlessly connect Jira Service Management (JSM) with 3P observability MCP, exchange alert context, and automatically generate RCA reports.

How it works 🔎

Using the Rovo Dev CLI, you can now connect to 3P Observability MCP and quickly investigate alerts or incidents:

From your terminal, you can trigger RCA directly with a simple request in natural language and it presents a detailed Root Cause Analysis that includes

  • Potential Root cause (e.g., undersized infrastructure)

  • Severity level (e.g., P0 – Critical)

  • Recommended actions within a specific timeframe

Why this matters ✅

This integration helps IT and Ops teams:

  • Resolve incidents faster by cutting down manual back-and-forth

  • Find RCAs with clear outputs across tools
  • Bridge the gap between Jira Service Management and 3P Observability context

By combining the power of Rovo Dev CLI, JSM and Observability Data, your teams can stay in flow and resolve critical issues faster.

How to set it up?

What’s next?
