Hi Community 👋
We’re excited to introduce all-new enhancements to Change Calendar in Jira Service Management! Change Calendar helps change management users track, and plan their change issues across different projects, services; and track free/maintenance windows that may impact their change process/planning. With this most recent release, we’ve made key improvements to the overall user experience by adding more filters, default view, and export functionality. Read on to learn more!
You can now subscribe to your Jira Service Management change calendar from popular external calendar apps like Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook. This new capability lets you seamlessly view change events alongside your regular schedule, making it easy for your entire team to stay up to date—even if some members don’t have a Jira Service Management license. You can create calendar links based on currently applied filters, enabling you to share multiple variations.

We’re excited to introduce new filtering capabilities to the Change Calendar, including a JQL builder that lets users filter and search events by any field, a new Assets/Infrastructure filter, and new capabilities for admins to set and share default calendar views for their teams. These enhancements make it easier to track relevant changes, avoid conflicts, and collaborate efficiently across teams.

Project admins can now associate freeze and maintenance windows with specific services or asset custom fields, ensuring smoother and more accurate change management practices. In addition, conflicts between change requests and change windows are now surfaced directly in both the edit and create views for faster detection and resolution.
