Assets activities are now live in the Atlassian Audit Log!

Hello Atlassian Community!

We're pleased to announce that activities from Assets in Jira Service Management are now included in the Atlassian Administration audit logs. This means you can now centrally track Assets activities across a range of areas, such as:

  • Permissions being granted and removed.

  • Adding, editing, and removing schemas, object types, and objects.

  • Adding, configuring, and removing Assets custom fields in Jira.

  • Exporting data.

Detailed information on how to access the audit log and details on its features can be found here, and a full list of the Assets activities which appear in the audit log right now can be found here.

Note that access to the Atlassian Administration audit log is dependent on your Jira Service Management and Atlassian Guard plan. See this page for information on which plans include access to the audit log.

We intend to continually expand the Assets activities in the audit log based on your feedback and as we add new capabilities to Assets. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment and I'll be more than happy to help out.

Cheers,
Justin King
Senior Product Manager, Jira Service Management
