Hi @Bill Goetz, thanks! We are not able to add Assets-linked fields in the current implementation, or for logic linked to user-groups.

However, the awesome engagement here has been great encouragement and we have started exploring additional enhancements. I will share more details as we firm these plans up over the quarter.

Hi @Susan Waldrip, thanks for the support!

In the current implementation, we've not been able to incorporate Jira linked fields, but I'm happy to report we've started work on visual representation of the implemented logic and will deploy these as fast follow-ups.

Hi @Brown_ Kelly, thanks for sharing this detailed use case!

While we've not been able to incorporate Asset objects in the current implementation, these details are super useful as we evaluate upcoming development projects.

This is wonderful news, @Anshumaan Bhartiya! Thank you for taking the time to respond to the feedback, and it's great to hear this will be rolling out later this month. Our team will look forward to these capabilities as well as the visual indicators to follow shortly afterwards.

As a side note, the video you posted is no longer available. I'm assuming this is intentional since it was a beta demo, but I wanted to mention it.

Hi Michael Fileti, great catch, thanks for highlighting! I can confirm we will enable selection of multiple items from the dropdown, and will also update the terminology we use to make it more intuitive.

We've not been able to incorporate AQL in the current development, but thanks for the suggestion!

Hi @Quang Kieu, thanks for these inputs!

Your assessment is accurate: we will deploy a release without some of the fields you've suggested.

But, I am happy to report that your feedback has been helpful and we've already started work on including conditional logic for text, email, and cascading fields! While I am unable to share a timeline yet, this is coming!

Hi @Anshumaan Bhartiya

Excellent work, really looking forward to these new features.

You mentioned: "We are not able to add Assets-linked fields in the current implementation",

What will happen to the conditions on the asset field in the current live forms? We have a few live forms that have a conditional section based on an asset field. e.g., show a section if asset field A value IN ("X", "Y"). I hope this improvement does not break the current live forms.

I am rooting for JQL, AQL, and user-based conditions.

Kind regards,

Milad

This is amazing if it would be deployed. What also would be nice is the ability to link a Jira Custom field to multiple Fields in the form, which is convenient for those that have forms wherein some of the same fields are being used. (Currently you can only link 1 Jira Field to a form field)

I am very happy to finally see this coming into place and to start playing with it right now! I have started tinkering with this yesterday and have changed a few forms to try this out in a testing area and it appears to work well....at least in the native web portal. Warning for those using the Refined app, it is NOT passing along the hidden section and editing any forms that used the previous condition (for now) still work until you edit them. Then they no longer work in the Refined view. (I have submitted a ticket to Refined about this).

@Milad S_  & @Bill Goetz  I saw your comments as I was going through to write mine and it made me want to test something. So I created a new form and added in a section with the conditional logic, showing the new section only based on when my Custom Field (which is an Asset style custom field that shows AQL filtered objects from a section of the CMDB Jira Asset area) a certain user (myself) is selected from the asset area, then show the section and it worked, as a workaround this is promising!

Hi @Anshumaan Bhartiya

Thanks for working on this!  Looking forward to making our forms even better!

Can you confirm this will not break the work-around for View Only fields on this highly voted request (which looks like you are also on!):

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4328

We have a work-around using hidden sections on forms (~6th comment down on that link) to allow showing view only fields on issues.  Basically creating a section with a condition that will never pass, so it does not show on the form.

This is quite important to us, hope it does not break!

Any ETA of when this change will hit Enterprise production instances?

Hello,

Thank you for working on this, when can we use it on our sandboxes as I don't see the feature available.

Regards,

Chakib.
