We’ve released a new version of the Data Manager Clients for JSM Assets, and we need all customers to upgrade to version 2.0.0 or later by 31 August 2026.
You can download the latest clients from the Atlassian Marketplace:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1234690/data-manager-clients-for-jsm-assets
The Data Manager Clients (both the Adapters Client and the Cleanse and Import Client) are locally installed tools used to:
Connect to your external data sources
Run adapter jobs to bring data into Data Manager
Cleanse, reconcile, and import that data into Assets
From version 2.0.0 onwards, we’ve:
Added enhancements like manager enrichment for Microsoft Intune devices
Made platform changes needed to move Data Manager to Atlassian’s internal Trusted Data Platform
Over the coming period, any client version starting with a "1" will be obsoleted.
Please plan to migrate to 2.0.0, or later, as soon as possible:
You’ll be aligned with our ongoing work to move Data Manager onto Atlassian’s Trusted Data Platform, so your data is stored, protected, and managed with more consistent, enterprise‑grade controls across Atlassian Cloud
You’ll avoid compatibility issues as we deprecate older client versions and continue to ship new adapters and improvements.
After 31 August 2026, we will begin deprecating and removing support for all 1.x versions of the Data Manager Clients. We will also deprecate older versions when we see no activity against a version for 60 days.
Go to the Data Manager Clients for JSM Assets app on the Atlassian Marketplace:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1234690/data-manager-clients-for-jsm-assets
Download the latest version of the clients for your operating system.
Update your existing environment to point your jobs to the new client binaries.
Note: New versions of the Data Manager Clients may be released monthly. Through the Marketplace listing, the latest available version will be available to download, which will be 2.0.0 or newer.
For more background on previous and current client changes, you can review our release notes here:

There are two ways to check:
If you run into issues during the upgrade or have questions about whether your current version is affected, please contact Atlassian using your standard support method.
We strongly encourage you to start planning your migration now to ensure a smooth transition before older versions are fully obsoleted
