Hi Tanguy,

I would be grateful if Diggecard gets early access to this functionality.  Here is our url: https://diggecard.atlassian.net/

We use ticket hierarchy to support our equivalent for the OST methodology and we are heavily missing the possibility to have a full overview.

Thanks!

Tatiana

Hey @Tanguy Crusson  would love access to this feature please! We've been looking forward to it in our team

Quick use case: we run product discovery for Abyss Fabric (our AI-powered asset integrity platform) in JPD. Our discovery naturally ladders into Opportunities → Solutions → Experiments, but we're currently flattening it with fields and grouping. A proper tree view would let us roll customer problems up into a clear roadmap view — especially useful for QBRs with cross-functional leadership.

@Tanguy Crusson Great news on this update!! Please could you enable for https://hawk-eye.atlassian.net/

So we can visualise how the Ideas roll up to Strategic Initiatives and sporting event milestones/opportunities?

Hello @Tanguy Crusson  ,

So happy this feature is coming out ! We'd love to join the treeview EAP ! I don't know how I'v missed the announcement 2 weeks ago, we've been waiting for it for the last year.

Our use case : We are starting to use the OST methodology to help in our decision making and internal process (quite close to Teresa Torres' original method). We have set up hierarchies and views as described in your tutorial as well.

I will make sure to gather feedback and send it after a few weeks. Thanks again for developping this !

Here is our URL : https://elements-apps.atlassian.net

We were starting to consider building an internal app use the export feature to have a tree view, I'm so glad this is coming out, it will be so much better than what we had in mind.

PS : I thought you switched to an AI team, are you doing both JPD and AI innovation ?

We would love to have the timeline view with high level initiatives. For each initiative we'd like to see all the child ideas and solutions that are in progress, and their placement on the timeline.

Hi @Tanguy Crusson,

Thank you for sharing a great feature. We are now investigating how to work with Ideas in our intake process (which structure we will create), so having a three-view for consideration of what it will look like will help.

Hi Tanguy! We would like access too. We have made extensive use connections to build a hierarchy view and would love to see it depicted visually. We are very interested in leveraging the future design as well (e.g. embedded hierarchy in the Timeline view).

We'd love early access. Our site: lucidlink.atlassian.net

We run a three-level hierarchy in JPD: Opportunity → Initiative → Epic (and Experiment), with everything connected via connectors. The Connections feature has been essential for keeping those relationships intact, but visually, we can only surface one level of parent-child relationship at a time using groupings. To see the full strategic picture, we have to maintain multiple views and mentally stitch them together — which works fine for people who live in JPD daily, but creates real friction for anyone less embedded in the PDLC.

Tree view would solve this directly. Being able to show how a specific Epic connects up through its Initiative to the broader Opportunity, in a single view, without clicking around, makes the strategic narrative legible to stakeholders who aren't in JPD regularly. Right now, that story lives in multiple views plus our Confluence strategy documentation. Tree view would let JPD tell it natively.

On the List view hierarchy improvements mentioned in the article, those would compound the value further. The combination of Tree view and hierarchical List view would substantially reduce the number of views we need to actually manage the work, beyond showing the narrative.

Hi @Tanguy Crusson ! I am wondering if it's not too late to get early access to the Tree View. We are planning on using this to track and bring customer derived features or variations of a product feature back into our main product offering.

I am using this to build a larger enterprise view that will require drilling into a few different levels.

I'd love to try the Tree feature to map out ideas for cascadeing KPIs in a project.

Hi @Tanguy ,

Thank you for giving access to the feature !! One feedback I can give so far on the Opportunity tree is that the view is too large. It would be great to see ALL opportunities in one view, right now I have to move the mouse from right to left (using the horizontal view) to see the opportunities. (I have a LOT of opportunities).

(By the way, Is here the best place to give feedback ?)

Feedback & First impressions from me and team:

  • Expected the tree to be expand/collapsible - fold/unfold parents to get a better view of a tree's section
  • There is an "All levels" Filters selector but there is no "All levels" Fields selector - I wanted to add "Insights" field on all items on the tree and had to click through every level and add the field there going back and forth
  • Expected scroll to be used for moving around the canvas, not zoom (especially on a laptop touchpad - two-finger swipes); ctrl/cmd+scroll to be zoom

@Tanguy Crusson if it's possible we would love to trial this and provide feedback https://thescore.atlassian.net/

We fully embraced JPD for our roadmaps when you originally added the product hierarchies. I've been a long term follower of Teresa's principles and this would help us a lot to consolidate into 1 tool rather than manually moving between JPD and some other's we've been trying. Thanks in advance!

Hi - we use the Hierarchy feature heavily - its the reason we upgraded to premium! our entire domain delivery model is mapped in JPD using this + we are just about to modify our change process to do the same - this feature will be so useful

Thanks @Dmytro Moroz ! we're currently working on expanding/collapsing levels

@Mathilde Vialle we're working on information density too - see how we can show more on screen, reduce empty space, etc.

We're looking forward to the 2 level timeline view. Currently if we have both initiatives and ideas/solitons on one view, it's very hard to keep it all aligned, particularly if we also want to have it sorted by the impact on each level. View with initiatives only works fine, but going into details of each initiative is challenging. Our site: https://airhelp.atlassian.net/

On first view this is looking great @Tanguy Crusson ! Great work team!!

First thoughts. It would benefit from being able to expand collapse the nodes of the tree and being able to filter out objects with no connections. Plus the ability to add new tickets at the appropriate level which would automatically create the ticket of the correct type and assign the connections. I'm sure you're already working on these.

Being able to zoom in/out is great and something I wished we had on timeline views to expand/contract the timeline quickly.

Any info on when we can expect the additional level of hierarchy in other views and roll up fields?

Hello. We'd love to get the early access. We have loads of use cases, but mostly to make views for stakeholders that are easy to follow and visually cohesive.
