Hi @chihara, Yes, the support documentation has been updated from 10 to 5. The number of Sandboxes included in your entitlement for apps on an Enterprise plan is 5. As long as you're within that limit, you can use them across any sites associated with that Enterprise plan. Sandboxes are transient in nature and can be flexibly reset to move across Enterprise plan sites.
And you are referring to this picture,
it is indeed still valid, Chihara. You can have one or more apps in a sandbox site, as long as the total number of sandboxes for that particular app is less than or equal to that app's sandbox allocation (Sandbox usage is calculated across your organization).
This continues a disturbing trend of Atlassian over delivering in "Beta" and then pulling the rug out and asking for money after teams have become accustomed to the entitlement. (Still don't know how much Rovo is going to cost us.......).
Why wasn't this capped at 5 to begin with? Its hard to square this announcement with the Atlassian Value of "Don't Screw The Customer."
Companies don't have spare cash and people hours lying around to deal with this mid licence term. For Enterprise customers, this will have a real, negative impact. The eventual cost should have been communicated much earlier in the "Beta" so that companies don't build real business process against this existing 10 sandbox entitlement. At a minimum, this cash grab should have been timed to be dealt with at the next Enterprise renewal.

@Atul Setlur how does a transient sandbox support safe change management?
If I need to make changes to a project, you're recommending I spin up a sandbox, make the change, and spin it down? I have 30-40 changes in flight at any given time, spinning up and down sandboxes when the process takes >12hrs is a non-starter.
This process is fully functional with 2 permanently allocated sandboxes so we can refresh the data every 6 months while keeping the old sandbox for teams to finalize testing for up to 6 months. 2 sandboxes also allows for a Dev, UAT, and Prod environment, where necessary, for appropriate, safe and standard change management.
I have 8 sites in my instance, as recommended by Atlassian for consolidation purposes. How does 5 sandboxes support proper change management for an enterprise-tier organization?
