We had a great turnout for our latest CSM webinar, Create with Rovo in Confluence. Mindy Park, Principal Product Marketing Manager, Confluence, gave an excellent demonstration of how teams can use Rovo in Confluence to expedite information sharing and make the content look great.
For those who weren’t able to join the meeting, view the recording below and please share with your teams!
Resources shared during the call include:
Get started with Create with Rovo by going to Create.Rovo.com
Create and edit with Rovo blog post
Create new content items with Rovo support page
Remix with Rovo blog post
Create with Rovo Community article
During the presentation, a lot of the Q&A was happening simultaneously as Atlassian CSMs answered questions in the meeting chat, so if you have a question after watching the Loom, see if your question was answered live or in the table below. If not, please ask in the comments!

Are these features available for all editions of Confluence? |
They are available for customers on Confluence Standard, Premium, and Enterprise. Two points to note:

Are there scenarios to test Rovo for Confluence using Search, Chat, and Agents since this is new for us? |
We recommend checking out the Rovo Hub in Community for adoption guides and use cases as a starting point! |
|
Does Rovo talk between all Atlassian products like Jira? Could I ask Rovo to look at a specific team’s sprint board and create a Confluence page that shows the status of epics or create requirements based on the tickets in Jira? |
Yes! Rovo will respect the permissions, so it will access content across Atlassian Apps that a user has permission to view. |
|
I am an Org Admin on the Enterprise plan. Are we able to restrict who can create content in Rovo? |
You can restrict who can create Rovo agents (via Studio). Reference these Support pages: |

Within Confluence is there a specific template document type? |
There are several available templates in Confluence. When you create a new page, several template options will appear on the bottom. Select “All templates” to see the full list and filter by type. |
|
I want Rovo to write standard specifications at specific points in my Jira workflow. I want it to pass the ticket across team members for in Analysis, Development, QA, User Acceptance, etc., helping create each respective document. |
Rovo can absolutely help with this. The way to achieve this is by combining Rovo Agents with Jira Automation, using workflow status transitions as triggers that invoke a Rovo Agent to generate the appropriate document at each stage, then outputting that document as a Confluence page or a Jira comment. Connect with your Atlassian Customer Success Manager for more help. |

Can you give Rovo a link to a page that has a template you want it to follow when creating the document? |
Yes, you can absolutely have Rovo follow a specific template. The easiest way is to either (1) link Rovo to an existing template or Confluence page and ask it to use that page as the structure for a new document, or (2) start from a Confluence template and use the ‘Create with Rovo’ / ‘fill template’ flow so Rovo fills that template for you instead of starting from a blank page. |
|
If we have templates in Word can we use those to convert existing documents or is it better to create them in Confluence? |
You can import Word documents templates as pages in Confluence. Confluence will convert the file into a page and do its best to keep the structure (headings, tables, etc.). |
|
For a Live Doc, can you ask it to create a page using a template you have in that space? Not a system wide template, but one that is specific to a space. |
Yes you can absolutely have Rovo follow a specific template. As previousy mentioned, the easiest way is to either (1) link Rovo to an existing Confluence page and ask it to use that page as the structure for a new document, or (2) start from a Confluence template and use the ‘Create with Rovo’ / ‘fill template’ flow so Rovo fills that template for you instead of starting from a blank page. Remember you can switch from a Page to Live Doc, and vice-versa. Just click on the elipses on top right of your page and find “Convert to Live Doc”. |
|
Can Rovo create a JSM Playbook from multiple Confluence pages? |
Yes. |
|
Can Rovo create a page from Zoom with a passcode? |
Currently Rovo doesn’t log in to Zoom on your behalf or bypass meeting security. We would recommend copying the transcript into a Confluence page and then create a page/update/notes from there. |
|
Can Remix with Rovo create technical/architecture diagrams as well? |
Yes, Remix can generate technical diagrams from existing content in your pages today; for example, turning structured tables or process steps into editable diagrams. The initial focus is lightweight system and workflow diagrams, and Atlassian is actively expanding this into richer architecture diagramming, especially via Confluence Whiteboards. |
|
Does the flowchart use BPMN approved items and shapes? |
Today, Remix ‘flow’ diagrams are general flowcharts/mind maps rendered as Whiteboards, not formally BPMN‑compliant diagrams. Atlassian is adding standard BPMN shapes and templates to Confluence Whiteboards, and once that’s live you’ll get richer BPMN‑style modeling natively. |
|
Is it possible for Remix to use company-specific color theme and fonts ? |
Right now Remix follows Confluence’s default theming and design system rather than each customer’s brand kit. You can tweak colors once the visual is on the page, but automatic use of your company fonts and full brand palette isn’t supported yet. This will be coming in the future though. |
|
Can you use Microsoft Teams instead of Loom? |
Create with Rovo cannot directly "read" or process video files from Microsoft Teams. As an Atlassian product, Loom has a deep integration with Rovo to turn video into governed, actionable work in Jira and Confluence. A workaround could be: if you have the Microsoft Teams connector for Rovo enabled, Rovo can ingest and search meeting transcripts stored in OneDrive. You can then use those transcripts as context in your prompts to help Rovo generate Confluence pages or Jira issues. Direct video processing for Teams recordings is not currently supported. |
|
Does this connect to Scribe? |
Today, Rovo can’t connect directly to Scribe as Scribe doesn’t currently expose an MCP server that Rovo could plug into. In the future, if Scribe offered an MCP-compatible server, then Rovo agents could potentially connect to it the same way they do with our other third‑party agents like Figma and HubSpot. For now, the pattern we recommend is exporting Scribe content into Confluence so Rovo can search, summarize, and build on those guides there. |
