Confluence only question.
My company has many sites and pages.
I have a site (IT) with pages
I want to give a consultant access to a couple pages within my site only.
I create a group, add user. Give group access to specific pages.
I don't want this group to see anything in the site except the few specific pages
Because this group doesn't have View to the root site they are unable to see the pages within the site I want them too.
Is there some configuration I can implement to allow the behavior I want?
The permission to view cascades down, so the only way to do this is to move the pages you want for the consultants to a space or part of a space where they can see the pages.
I quite often see (and set up) spaces where:
And place the "external" pages under that second page
One additional trick is for the external pages to have them included in the internal area if their content is useful in there.
Hi @Aaron McLane ,
You can follow the steps to a solution in a similar question. Similar answer though the steps suggested by Thomas in the previous link are thorough.
Hope this helps
