Unable to delete managed account

Hello, some time ago I have logged in to atlassian using my corporate email. Now I have an account that is not added to any project but marked as managed by organisation.

My IT support told me that my account is not part of our company Atlassian organization. Because of this, they do not have access to manage or remove the account from the Atlassian organization where it is currently registered.

Additionally, they do not have any contact information for the administrators of the relevant Atlassian organization.

They told me to reach out to the appropriate Atlassian organization administrators.

Indeed we can see your account is managed by the owners of the domain after the @ for the email. (We are not sharing here your information or from the Organization due to the sensitive/privacy information)

With that in mind, the owners of this domain are the ones who decides if the account needs to remain active, deleted, etc. That is not related to any sites it is part of.

That said, we wanted to understand further the actual goal, since you don't have access to any sites, at least from what we can see here from our internal tools.

Are you looking for deactivating or deleting the Atlassian Account? Or looking to change the email address?

If you want to keep using this account, you can continue to do so, and you can be invited to any sites, but if the Org admins owners of the domain this account is part of decide to deactivate or delete the account, this is something you can't control then.

If you want to know the Org admins for any event, since we cannot share this information here, we will kindly ask you to try the following steps to open a support ticket with our billing and licensing team first doing the steps below, since we are unable to open a request directly with us at this moment, as you dont have access to any sites and is not a site admin:

1. Visit our support page: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact
2. Select “Pricing, billing and licensing.”
3. Continue without logging in.
4. Enter your email.
5. In “How can we help you,” select “Other.”
6. Skip the URL fields if they don’t apply.
7. Describe your issue in “Your Question.”

That should allow you to create a ticket there, as it is not necessary to be an admin or have a paid subscription to open a ticket there. After that, they should be able to redirect you to our technical support team for further analysis.

Your best bet is to raise a support ticket directly with Atlassian at support.atlassian.com. Explain that your account is managed by an organization you have no affiliation with, and that your own IT department has confirmed they don't control that org. Atlassian's identity team can look up which organization claimed the domain and help mediate.

Unfortunately, that page is not helpful at all as it requires a reference to a site URL which I don't have (basically that's an account belonging to a group that I have accessed using SSO via my corporate email, but it's not assigned to any Atlassian site). My company admins can't help either.
