New email address not accepted - Atlassian account

I saw that the data of Trello was breached (a while ago) and as a result my email address was exposed.

Now I want to change my email address. The new email address is:  atlasXXXXXXX@passmail.net (an alias from Proton Pass; the XXX are letters and numbers). This way I can change easily my email address after a breach.

The notification: email address is not allowed.

1. I should be able to use a @passmail.net, shouldn't I?
2. Where can I find the email address requirements?
3. What is the alternative? I am only using Trello.
4. A company breached should allow users to take extra precaution, shouldn't they?
