I'm struggling to work this one out... I've got a Managed User (sync'd via SSO) who is asked to login after a short time of inactivity when her browser window is closed. This has resulted in a huge list of "active" sessions.
Every other user in our organisation logs in happily once every week or so (myself included) - and even after closing their browser window, waiting 24 hours, etc, we still continue the same session with Atlassian.
Can you think of any reason why this one user is not able to do that? I watched her twice today do those new logins - she's definitely not doing anything strange like incognito etc.
Hi James - not sure if your issue is resolved, if not you can try this.
The browser is clearing cookies/cache, please check with the user if the below are enabled
1. Settings > Privacy > Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows > ON
2. Block third-party cookies > can occasionally break Atlassian persistent logins
The cookie cleaning extension can result in a long list of active sessions in atlassian admin, atlassian forcing a new login
