I first started my account via Bitbucket when I was in grad school in 2015(-ish) using my school email. At the time, my school saved alumni emails, but last year, they changed the policy, so I am no longer able to access that account. I am writing this post with a new account made with a different email.
When I go to log in to Atlassian using the email, it automatically redirects to my grad school's SSO, which no longer works for me as the account was deactivated. Looking at the troubleshooting page for SSO issues (https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/login-issues-related-to-single-sign-on-sso/), it did seem that I could input a password directly based on the following:
Log in using an Atlassian account password from the login page. If you don’t have a password, click the Can't log in? link to set one.
but the "Can't log in?" link seems to only direct to password recovery, which would go to the email account I don't have access to.
Is there a way I can disassociate my account from my grad school's SSO so that I can log in via a password? Alternatively, is there a way I can migrate all of my Bitbucket repos to a different account?
