Logging in tells me to update password, i try send recovery link and no email comes through... how do i get access to my account ive been using for years?

Here on the portal we can't grant access to instances. This is a public community forum for users of Atlassian product to help each other, but we can't access instances or grant access to instances.
Not even official Atlassian Support will honour such a request.
You will need to contact an admin of the instance or the IT department of the company the instance belongs to.
As Marc mentions this is just community forums so we wouldn't be able to assist with your account password.
But what you can do is check your spam or junk folder to see if the email went there, these resets love to go there.
If you still cannot find it I would recommend contacting your IT department if this is for work.
