Hello community,

I am currently kicked out of my own account and Altassian space.

It happened because I created my account back in college, with my college e-mail address. I used Confluence to organize all my college life, personal finances, everything. And I love the app !

I graduated last year, and forgot about the e-mail thing, until Atlassian asked me to reconnect to my account, and send a code to my college e-mail address... that is now deactivated !

I don't know how to have my account and all I have in it back... I wrote to my university and they are really slow to answer, and I really need to have my datas back ! do you have a solution for me please?

I can't contact the Atlassian support because I need to be connected to my space... you see the problem haha.

Thank you for your answers !

Sarah.

Hi @IFERGAN -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

When using a free license account, you need access to that email account in order to log in.  There would be no other way for Atlassian to validate it is your site.

When using a paid license account, I hypothesize it is theoretically possible for Atlassian to validate your payment method to restore access.  Yet they may still want to validate with the email account.

This is one good reason to have two admin users for a site: in case one becomes unavailable the other may be used with a different email account.

Kind regards,
Bill

Thank you for your answer. I have all the proofs with my ancient mails that this account is mine, all the creation of my space and all I did in it, so I can prove it, and I am willing to upgrade my account to a paid account if I can talk to the support or someone. I just don’t know how to contact them, do you have any idea ok how I can do that?

thank you very much!

When you have access to log into that email account, that should be all that is needed.

In my opinion, there is no amount of "proof" to indicate someone is the owner of the email account without login.  Showing old emails will not help.

And from what you describe, this is currently a free license account.  Again, you cannot upgrade that to a paid license unless you can log into it.

So there is nothing I can do? My university told me my college e mail is suppressed and they can’t create it back, so all my data is lost then?

Thank you for your answers and solutions

Sarah.
