Is it possible to manage application access with G Suite group based syncing?

We're using G Suite group based syncing, and what I'd like to be able to do is to define multiple groups in Google each of which specifies access to a different Atlassian application, so that the app permissions could be driven from our central user admin in G Suite.

We are also looking to do this - I've been digging around and trying to find a solution with no success (yet). I just wanted to post here and see if anyone had had success with this?
