A community question, not Jira, but the system required I select an App.

I recently switched jobs and logging in with my new email starts all my activity over at 0.  I'd like to have all my previous community interaction moved to my current work email.  Is that possible?

Hi @Carolyn McNicoll

Yes, and...you may select one of your accounts as "primary" and link your other accounts to it.  This will rollup your activity, badges, etc. for consolidated information.  I recommend using a personal rather than a work email account as primary.  This will prevent losing history when changing employer roles over time.

Kind regards,

Hey @Carolyn McNicoll ,

On top of what Bill said and shared, you can do a double-check with Community Managers team by reaching out to them via email communitymanagers@atlassian.com.

A few years ago, I had the same issue, so they managed to 'migrate' things from my previous account to my personal one. 👀
After that, as Bill said, I'd also realized it's better to use a personal account as the primary one instead of the other way around.

Cheers,
Tobi
