I can't seem to get the free trial started for Greenhopper and Confluence

I looked up the account tied to the email address you are using and I don't see any reason you should not be able to add those to your OnDemand service. Adding those and all other account maintenance is done at https://my.atlassian.com

Please add a bit more detail if this does not resolve the issue so we can get everything sorted out.
