How to verify if Password expiry feature in Password Policy works or not

We have been using JIRA Cloud here.

On Site administrator -> Password policy screen, Password expiry feature is available. Let me assume that currently it is set as 90 days, then how can we verify if this Password expiry date works or not?

I'd try to reduce password expiration period to a couple of days and see what happens.

Have you managed to find the answer, btw?
