Create invite for Jira/Conluence cloud using API

My company is using cloud versions of Confluence and Jira.
Is there a way to create invites for those services programmaticaly?

I've been searching and so far I found only this reference https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf57/adding-and-inviting-users-701435434.html that describes how to do it manually.
But I want to send out an invite with an API call.

Am I missing something or is it just impossible at the moment?
