Hello Atlassian community.
I have to say I am very frustrated with the user experience when it comes to deleting your account and I can see I am not the only one, so please take a moment to re-examine your business logic.
I had Loom active for whatever reason and I've canceled the sub.
When I try to delete my account I get the good ol' :
"Your account can't be deleted because:
If you're going to throw such a stupid generic message, please say or link the EXACT entitlement causing issues or the sub.
I want my account gone and it should not be this complicated.
Even the free subs, what's that about? How do I get rid of these for Goals and Teams?
Fire your UX department please and assist me in getting rid of this janky garbage account.
Yours truly,
Average user.
Hi,
Usually this happens when the account is still linked as a billing/technical contact, has an active organization/subscription, or is a managed account.
Try checking my.atlassian.com and admin.atlassian.com to remove/cancel any active sites or subscriptions first.
After that, go to id.atlassian.com → Account preferences → Delete account.
If it is an organization-managed account, only the org admin can delete it.
There's no active subs and it's not a managed account, I am the only user.
