I set up the Two-step verification method to use the authenticator app. However, the app has never opened to authenticate since registering and I always have to use the recovery key to login to Verisk, which is fine, just not sure why since I thought I did everything correct. Is there a way I can reset it or re-do it so the authenticator app will open? I don't see it my list on Authenticator either so I think I missed a step.

Hello @Denise Strohl

Since you still have that recovery key, you’re in great shape. Use it to log in, then head straight to your Atlassian account security settings to reset your 2FA.

Just disable the current authenticator and set it up fresh by scanning a new QR code with your app. Make sure to save the new recovery key it gives you, as the old one will stop working.

Keep in mind that the app won't open automatically during login; you'll need to open it yourself to grab the code once the new sync is done. If you run into any trouble, your Jira admin can temporarily disable the 2FA requirement for your account to help you finish the reset.
