Jira Plans - Can't see Jira Scenarios or Releases

When in Plans, I don't have the functionality to setup different scenarios, nor do I have the Releases tab available. 

I've added a release in my Jira Project and connected Epic and it's children to the that version.

Can you share screenshots of what you're seeing? That would help us get a better idea of what might be wrong.

Just a guess without that additional information: navigate to Plan Settings > Features and have a look if scenarios and releases are enabled there for your plan.

Are you referring to the timeline view on a board or the Plans function that comes with a premium subscription or higher.

The options you are referring to are only in the Plans function, not on the timeline view on a Jira board
