How can we assign issues automatically based on workflow?

Say a task is in To do status, i have assigned the task to any resource manually, he does some work on it and now wants to share it for review. can JIRA automatically assign that task to the reviewer or it has to be done manually?

Thanks Ollie,it worked.

I have one more query, I have modified the workflow , the first step is not "Assign" but "Assigned" as per the workflow defined, but when i create a issue the first tab i get is to "Assign" the issue.  How can it be hidden or made invisible?
