www.invisionapp.com share links being converted randomly

Adrian September 15, 2020

Hi,

We have recently had a problem with trello converting share links generated in InvisionApp.com to look aesthetically pleasing but make it impossible for other users to copy the text and paste it into an email client. Our process is to run the comment from trello to email editor after passing it through a notepad document to remove any weird formatting.

The links used to show up as a pure URL such as: https://invis.io/32156sdagasha which is perfect for sending to a client to click on.

But now it is the link is turned into the label of the artwork being shared such as: Client Desktop Design

See attached for visual example:

Is there any way to disable this auto "fancying" of the links? It seems to also be converting the links randomly per comment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Adrian

I worked on this feature in Trello - sorry to hear it's causing you and your team confusion!

There's no way to disable it currently. Trello will try to "unfurl" any link it knows how to, and you have access to. If it's not unfurling the URL for you (as is the case with the first one), you may not have access to that particular mockup, or Trello's not recognizing the link format. (Trello should recognize the invis.io style links!)

You can still copy the URL by using "Right click" -> "Copy Link Location" in your browser (or in the desktop app).
