I need help from the Trello team.
I had an account on trello before it became Atlassian. I happened to delete the email account linked to that trello account, because I didn't need it anymore and it was becoming choked with spam. But I didn't think of changing the email adress in my Trello account. When Atlassian took trello over, I couldn't access it anymore, as the access portal wouldn't accept my password, but I couldn't reinitialize my password anymore because the email adress don't exist anymore. So you see my plight.
There were about three boards, one about a game project called Tales of the green Earth, with my studio Pyrocenestudio. the other boards were personnal working backlogs for unrelated personal stuff.
I made a new account to start over but I would really want to get access to that account again.
Please tell me you can help me...
If needed you can contact me on vivalespam@gmail.com or hello@pyrocenestudio.com
Thank you in advance. Regards, Mathieu Loiseau
I wish I had a better answer for you, but someone with the same question got an answer from someone who works for Atlassian here. You may have already seen this question.
The thing is, your email is how Atlassian knows who you are. It is the identity of your account. If you cannot access it, how is Atlassian supposed to know that the account belongs to you? Anyone can "claim" a Trello account belongs to them, and this, along with your password, is how Atlassian proves your claim and keeps your account secure from unauthorized access. Atlassian has a duty to do this.
You say that you "deleted" the email. Can you recreate the email that you used?
You're free to reach out to Atlassian directly and see if you can get a different answer.
Be sure to explore all of your options, and I do hope you are able to regain access to your Trello account!
For what it's worth, you can back up your Trello data, and I highly recommend you do that as often as feasible so that you have it in a situation where you cannot log in.
