I've read the update about the workspace user limit changes starting April 8th, but I need some clarification on how it impacts my design service business.
I'm on the free plan, which I believe allows me one (1) workspace. For each paying client, I create a new Trello board, where I'm the admin and invite the client to collaborate. They, in turn, can invite additional users to the board for creating Trello cards that I manage.
However, the distinction between a workspace and a board is a bit unclear to me, especially with the free plan's allowance of up to 10 boards.
With the new update, does this mean I can invite up to 9 other users to each Trello board under the free plan, as illustrated below?
I'm open to upgrading to a paid plan if necessary, but I first want to fully understand these changes.
What will be impact of my board. I attached the warning notification which is displayed on my trello board I already maintain 9 board member only but its still showing the warning.
The limit applies to the entire Workspace, so all members of the Workspace and any board within that Workspace count toward the limit.
You can see how many collaborators you have by going to the Members page for the Workspace, and that number will be displayed in the sidebar.
If each client (and the people they're inviting) is only on one board, then they would count as "single board guests" in any of Trello's paid plans. Although single board guests still count toward the collaborator limit in free Workspaces, they don't count toward the bill in paid Workspaces.
If possible, I recommend you the livestream @Brittany Joiner and I are holding tonight at 11:30am EST.
We can answer that question live explain the differences.
