Was the official Trello chrome extension de-listed by Google for security reasons?

A few days ago, the official Trello chrome extension stopped working for me in both Edge and Brave browsers. Searching for reasons why led me to this discussion in the Atlassian Community, in which a Trello staff member merely says the extension was "de-listed" by Google but does NOT say WHY.

The extension worked fine when I turned it on again in the extensions managers for both browsers, but I'm a little concerned about using it again, because I don't know if Google de-listed it for security reasons. So, my questions are (1) Did Google de-list the extension because it creates security vulnerabilities? (2) Does Trello nonetheless feel the extension is safe to use?

I'm really missing it.

@Greg May

I do not think anyone in Community knows why they took it down other than it needed updates to meet Google's requirements.  I will escalate it to Atlassian to see if they can provide any insights.  My guess is that you will not get anything more than what has already been posted.  It also looks like it will not be back for a while as it is a low priority.

Don't know if you are already using this but this bookmark can be used to create cards https://trello.com/en/add-card

Thank you, Brant. I wish that card creation is what I want, but I used the official Trello extension mostly to access boards quickly. Typing T and a space followed by a term in a board title into the browser address bar would take me straight to that board. Are you aware of any other extensions that do that?

Unfortunately I do not know of any plugin that does that.
