We do an amount of work on PeoplePerHour.com and expect other job boards will be similar.
Ideally, we'd like to add our Client worksteam in as an observer, so we can keep it updated with progress etc, so PeoplePerHour can read that we are working on it, and dont mark us down in their algorithym for inactivity, when we might be doing loads.
However, we can only send into the board via our own email address, or it sees it as spam and well, deletes.
@Stephen Addis when you say "send into the board" do you mean send into PeoplePerHour?
What I'm getting here is that you want to be able to send a notification from Trello to PeoplePerHour.com from your own email address either manually or in some automated way, so that PeoplePerHour gets that you're working on the thing and doesn't flag inactivity, because you're not managing the jobs on their site.
Is that correct?
@Iain Dooley Yes, the PPH workstream or "board", we get an email address, or are able to extract one off the email alerts that come out from the Client workstream so we can just reply using that email.
Be handy if we could do same with the Trello notifications, so add them in as an observer, and that they get the messages we add so we dont need to do twice.
Thats right, managing a job on the PPH workstream is like well, driving through a tank slot or trying to manage something complex via text messages or just one long conversation feed, instead of being able to "manage" it.
