Pencil icon on some cards but not all of them

Why do some of my cards show a pencil icon but not all?

Very annoying and distracting.

I'm pretty sure the pencil only appears when you hover the cursor over the card. It may be that you have a trello chrome extension installed that could be interfering with this.

Can you maybe share a screenshot with us or specify the problem a little bit more? 

Sometimes this problem can be caused by browser - the first thing comes to my mind are three different things:

  • open the board in another tab again
  • clear browser cache
  • open the board in another in another browser
