Paid & free members combined

Is it possible to work in different boards where some accounts have a paid account and some free accounts? Or do all members need to have the same accounts (paid/free/premium/standard)

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- is right-- Individual accounts (as in, Trello users) are not themselves free/paid (Standard/Premium). It is Workspaces that are either free, Standard, Premium, or Enterprise. Every Trello board is in a Workspace. The plan a Workspace is on determines what features a board gets. For example, if you're on a Trello board in a Standard or Premium Workspace, you'll get Advanced Checklists (the ability to assign a user and due date to individual checklist items), but boards in free Workspaces do not have this feature.

In terms of who you pay for and who you don't, this is where it can get a little confusing to grasp.

  • In free Workspaces, all users are free, whether you've directly added them as Workspace members, or you've added them as guests (members of one or more Workspace boards but not direct members of the Workspace).
  • In paid Workspaces (Standard, Premium, Enterprise):
    • Workspace members are paid
    • Single-board guests (users added to one Workspace board but not added as members of the Workspace) are free
    • Multi-board guests (users added to two or more Workspace boards but not added as members of the Workspace) are paid

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Accounts do not have these properties, the services do.

Your whole system is paid/free/premium/standard, not the accounts using it.
