Notifications for upcoming due dates only?

Neha Reese Dandawate October 16, 2018

Hi,

I'm creating a Trello board for a global team, most of whom work remotely.  We are using Trello to project manage.

With regards to the notifications, the team only wants them when an item is coming due.  Is possible to manage notifications so you only see them in certain situations?  Currently, Trello notifies you any time a card is moved, comments are added, attachments added, etc.  It gets to be a bit too much and people start to ignore the notifications...

Any help on this or advice to manage the process would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Neha,

Crystal from Trello Support here!

I'm happy to help! Right now Trello doesn't have a way to select specific actions for members to be notified on. However there are a few things we can check to make sure that members are only being notified about things they need to keep track of.

A good solution would be to ask members to turn off the "Watch" feature from things they no longer need to see. For instance, some members may be watching boards, lists, or multiple cards.

At this time Trello doesn't have a way for board or team admins to remove that from another members profile. However you can send them this article and request that the disable watch or remove themselves as members of the cards so the won't be notified:

Watching cards, lists, or boards
